- Our summer language courses attract a large number of highly motivated international students. At Alinguas, our participants are presented with an exciting opportunity to make friends and contacts from all over the world. Motivated teenagers and students from different countries meet here not only to learn German, but to take part in many extracurricular activities such as sports and travel.
- The summer language courses take place from June to September.
- The courses are from 9:30 a.m. until 13:00 p.m. with a 30 minute break at 11 a.m.
- In the afternoons we organize different leisure activities for our summer language course participants such as visiting various cultural and sport events. This allows our participants to get know each other as well as to explore the city of Munich as a group.
- Our entertainment program includes visiting places such as the Deutsches Museum, Nymphenburg Castle, Herrenchiemsee lake, Salt Mine in Bad Reichenhall, Neuschwanstein Castle, Oktoberfest, etc.
- We also organize picnics, cooking evenings at Alinguas, movie nights, weekend trips, and visits to sport events (e.g. the Audi-Cup in Allianz Arena).
Throughout these activities, the participants also have the opportunity to further interact with our instructors and other faculty members.
Furthermore, we are the first, and at the moment the only language school in Munich to offer Speedlingua to help you improve your pronunciation through “alinguas multimedia” training.

The first day
The first school day begins with a short 15 min. placement exam for all the students (absolute beginners are exempt). Based on the results of the test, the participants are divided into their course groups. During the classes they systematically practice grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and comprehension. In addition to formal lectures, highly interactive activities are incorporated into the course curriculum. These include communication and language games, interviews on the streets, as well as group & partner work.
After a short lunch break, a tour of Munich's city center is organized: Marienplatz, Rathaus, Viktualienmark, Odeonsplatz. In addition, the participants receive helpful tips on Munich´s public transport such as busses, trams, and subways as well as helpful information about inexpensive shopping locations.
At Alinguas, we provide our students with the highest standards of learning and social atmosphere. Our goal is to educate the students and make them feel at home in Munich. The Alinguas team always welcomes special requests and wishes.

Our school has a long continuing relationship with many well selected host families. They all live either near the school or near public transport providing an easy commute to the classes. We also offer full board (lunch is provided even for the excursions).
Living with a German speaking family is extremely beneficial for the participants´ language practice. This is a highly positive attribute for our teenage students, as it allows them to live with families with children their own age. They are welcomed as family members and participate in the every day life of the family. This cultural immersion is a valuable asset to the language learning experience. Many of our students stay in contact with their host families and are welcomed to the same home for the next year's courses.
